We believe that the best way to approach test preparation is to tailor to the needs of each individual child.

Our Value Proposition
It is not a secret that most parents prepare their young kids for standardized tests given the level of competitiveness of the private and the gifted public school admissions process. However, most test preparation is ad hoc and yields sub optimal results.
- Test preparation materials purchased from the internet or bookstores consist of workbooks and random test kits that do not necessarily match what is required by these tests. Most important of all, these materials do not teach test taking skills.
- Vast majority of test preparation is ad hoc, fragmented, and does not take into account that most students take several different tests.
- Baby sitters and parents who have an emotional bond with the child do the test training and preparation. When family members are administering tutoring, frustration and conflict between parents and child are likely to occur, which diminishes learning and fun.
- There is no cohesive overall strategy or plan deployed when family members attempt to tackle test preparation on their own.
- Preparation often lacks structure. Families find themselves scrambling to find last minute tutors. Often there is last minute "cramming", which is of greatly diminished effectiveness for the child.
At Bright Kids NYC, we developed a "tried and true" tester and teacher proven methodology that delivers results. All children at Bright Kids NYC will:
- Receive customized tutoring plans
- Master basic test taking skills
- Learn to work effectively with unfamiliar adults
- Learn from "cherry-picked" teachers from NYC's top schools who specialize in teaching very young kids
- Have fun while learning under a relaxed time-table
Bright Kids NYC understands the crucial fact that children need stable environments to maximize their performances. This fact is exponentially true where test taking is concerned. Children at this age need a slower, scheduled, predictable approach for optimal performance.
