Tutoring at Bright Kids is structured to deliver the best results, and every year we help hundreds of students achieve the scores they need for private school admissions. To deliver these results, each child at Bright Kids starts with an ISEE or SSAT diagnostic. These diagnostic results are analyzed by our staff and you will receive a write-up of these results within 3-5 business days of the diagnostic.
Using these results, we will determine which areas are your child’s strengths and weaknesses. During the diagnostic, the proctor will also be looking to identify what test strategies your child is or is not using. As the ISEE and SSAT exams are rather lengthy and require a great deal of critical thinking, it is important that all of these factors are looked at in order to prepare your child to be successful on either of these exams.
Our contracted tutors have a proven record of helping children’s scores across all sections of these exams and either come from a top university and/or have their teaching certification to work with the grade level of your child.
ISEE and SSAT tutoring is available all hours, both weekdays and weekends. Depending on the program you enroll in, tutoring can either be scheduled at your home or at our one of our NYC offices. All tutoring is 1-on-1 and scheduled in 1-1.5 hour sessions. The initial diagnostic lasts about 2-2.5 hours.
The ISEE Fundamentals package includes an initial diagnostic and seven 1-hour tutoring sessions and is open to students preparing for the Lower (entry into grades 5 and 6), Middle (entry into grades 7 and 8), or Upper (entry into grades 9 through 12) Level exam. It is an excellent precursor to our Fall ISEE Class or 1:1 Tutoring Package (available in the fall!). The school year and admissions process is understandably stressful; take advantage of the summer months and give your child a chance to get ahead in their test preparation!
The SSAT 1-on-1 Tutoring Package includes an initial diagnostic and five or nine 1-hour tutoring sessions and is open to students preparing for the Lower (entry into grades 6-8) or Upper (entry into grades 9-12) Level SSAT.
